

Deon Kerr | Program Manager
Deon Kerr is the Program Manager at Clubhouse Atlanta. He was born in St. Ann’s Bay Jamaica but grew up mostly in Connecticut. Deon served in the Connecticut Army National Guard for three years as a Chemical Specialist and earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Bridgeport, and earned a Master of Social Work at Sacred Heart University.
Deon worked at the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) for 23 years. During his time at DMHAS, he worked on several outpatient teams such as Homeless Outreach as a Shelter Case Manager; Special Populations (Juvenile sex offenders ages 18-25) as a Mental Health Worker; ACT Team-Assertive Community Treatment as a Case Manager; CSP- Community Support Team as a Case-Manager; and Young Adult Services (age 18-25) as The Lead Overnight Worker. Deon was also an active member of the rehabilitation teams which facilitated many client social activities and functions.
Upon moving to Georgia in the Fall of 2022 Deon served as the Program Manager for the Commons at Imperial, a Housing First Program facilitated by CaringWorks, Inc. There he managed the day-to-day functions of a 90-person apartment complex working closely with the City Of Atlanta and several community providers to facilitate housing and Behavioral Health Services to the residents.
In his spare time, Deon is a DJ and utilizing that skill not only for client functions but outside for weddings, birthday parties, Local NAACP functions such as award dinners and Juneteenth Celebrations. He also enjoys traveling, watching his Yankees, Knicks, and Raiders play as well as spending time with his family as a husband, father, and grandfather.
